“You ought to be interested in helping people, but you ought to be interested in helping everybody.”

— Congressman Jack Brooks

OUR PURPOSE

The Jack Brooks Foundation was founded on the example set by Congressman Jack Brooks, whose career in Congress left a legacy of crafting superior public policy which he enacted into law by working across the aisle.

The Foundation seeks to share Chairman Brooks' stellar example of public service and provide insight into elements that constitute good public policy.

The Chairman was always moving forward, and his Foundation will do the same. We will preserve the legacy of this exceptional man, and we will carry on his determination to "help everybody."

In this spirit, the Foundation will continue developing initiatives that inform voters and empower them to help to remove barriers to voting. We seek to reconnect individuals with their government by explaining how complex public policy directly impacts their daily lives.
